11:40 jnettlet Need to get this built for the Cubox. http://openelec.tv/
14:24 yaayaa hi all. is there a way to use mplayer with hardware acceleration ?
14:25 yaayaa with hd video, even gstreamer (through gst-launch) is jerky and tells me there is something wrong
14:29 yaayaa is there a simple cli video player that can run hd video smoothly ?
14:34 yaayaa something lighter than xbmc
14:35 yaayaa N30N: I've never managed to compile marvell-xbmc-git. Neither using discc nor natively. snif
14:35 yaayaa any command line video player able to play HD video using dove driver will do
14:44 yaayaa even using gstreamer, I alway get a "computer too slow" message
14:44 yaayaa any help / experience ?
15:14 N30N Hi yaayaa, what problems do you get compiling it?
15:15 N30N Would you like me to uplaod the compiled package?
15:15 N30N *upload*
15:17 N30N Also xbmc can play a video from the command like with the with the --test flag
15:18 N30N *comand line*
15:18 N30N :)
15:20 yaayaa N30N: Oh yes, that would be greaaat
15:21 yaayaa My compilation problems: natively: DVDVideoCodecFFMpg.so
15:22 yaayaa VDPAU.h: error expectec class name before {
15:23 yaayaa Using distcc: do not reaaly know what happens. I manage to cross compile a simple c test program. But with xbmc, I get errors and it reverts back to native compilation
15:23 yaayaa probably a misunderstanding from my side, it's my first time with distcc :)
15:25 yaayaa I did not knwo xbmc could do that :) that's all what I need, a cli video player that is scriptable. Mplayer has the fifo thing that enable great things but I'll take what I have with xbmc
15:30 N30N There are opwnmax libs in the marvell-ipp pacakge but I couldn't get mplayer to compile with them (had a missing header and gave up quick).
15:31 N30N *openmax* (can't seem to type today)
15:31 yaayaa I'll give your xbmc binaries a try :)
15:32 yaayaa my gcc version is 4.7.2 (latest)
15:35 N30N yaayaa: did you use the latest x-tools7h.tar.xz (14 Oct)?
15:35 yaayaa N30N: honestly I do not remember. But since it was last week, I guess yes
15:36 yaayaa I've just found https://github.com/jpec/RasPyPlayer
15:37 N30N yaayaa: I added a bunch of patches since then (but it still should have worked)
15:37 yaayaa it's for the raspberry, but since it is using openmax and python3, might be adaptable
15:39 N30N yaayaa: here you go: http://alunamation.com/archlinux/arm/marvell-xbmc-git-20121030-1-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz
15:40 yaayaa thnaks a lot N30N
15:41 yaayaa downloading
15:41 yaayaa s/thnaks/thanks/
15:41 N30N You should also up the vmeta clock (see my AUR comment)
15:45 yaayaa ok thanks
15:50 yaayaa N30N: what is the url link to your aur package ? google gives me only dead links
15:51 N30N yaayaa: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=63386
15:52 yaayaa thanks
15:55 yaayaa N30N: ok, running your package i get a libGLEW error
15:56 yaayaa libGLEW.so.1.7 is missing, but I have libGLEW.so.1.9. symlink ?
15:58 yaayaa glew1.7 is available in aur
16:02 N30N yaayaa: there's a comment about this on the aur page ;)
16:04 yaayaa oups. ok. missed that one
16:06 yaayaa N30N: seems to work :) eventually. Thanks
16:06 N30N no prob, enjoy.
19:24 cbxbiker61 > ups just delivered my new water-cooler and fx-8350, now i just have to schedule some down time to replace my x6.
19:24 cbxbiker61 [12:21] with the x264 benchmark my [email protected] was doing 109fps and the [email protected] does 170fps, so it should make a very good transcode (as well as code compile) machine.
19:30 ralix good evening
19:30 cbxbiker61 hi
19:31 ralix I do not understand the difference between "AirMail Postal Service € 14.40" and "EMS € 30.40" when ordering. ;-)

20:06 cbxbiker61 http://www.codeweavers.com/ : free crossover for today with 12months of support, wine does pretty much what i need on my x86 machines, but i downloaded it just in case i want to tinker with windows games that may not run on wine.
