01:15 dv_ _rmk_: the OLPC guys do
01:16 dv_ at least according to jnettlet
01:16 _rmk_ hmm, so on OLPC, using the GPU is less power hungry than overlay?
01:17 _rmk_ probably a question for jnettlet
01:21 dv_ I wonder if the flickering problem I've had is because I used incorrect settings
01:21 dv_ dsd didnt see the flickering
05:40 dbsx There is a bug in the spi flash in 3.11-rc6. /dev/mtd0 and /dev/mtdblock0 do not erase or write when using mtd_debug, flashcp, flash_erase or dd. This certainly worked in 3.6.9.
05:40 dbsx My guess is that the DT code for spi flash is screwed
05:45 dbsx Both dd and flashcp think that the writes have succeeded but when you read nothing has changed
08:39 Coburn sounds familar to a samsung nand bug going a while ago
08:40 Coburn phones would go to replace a nand partition and the driver would say it did the job when it didn't, and then when the driver tries again, it would lock up the controller rendering the device a brick
17:00 dbsx Who do I tell about the spi flash problem with 3.11-rc6?
17:34 _rmk_ * Author: Mike Lavender, [email protected]
17:35 _rmk_ probably worth a first attempt, cc'ing linux-mtd
17:56 dv_ _rmk_: any response from linus or andrew?
17:58 _rmk_ not yet; I sent the mail outlining my plan to stuff a patch into linux-next this evening, and that's what I'm going to do :)
18:06 dbsx Can anyone tell me where to get the most recent Dove DRM patch. Or is there nothing later than http://moinejf.free.fr/cubox/dove.patch ?
