09:48 | jnettlet | Bluerise, dxtr, I am going to hack a HummingBoard Pro into a netbook as an attempt at a lower cost MX6 laptop |
10:13 | _Rarity | Does anybody know if cubox-i supports Miracast? |
10:15 | dz0ny | _Rarity: no that's closend+vendored tech? |
10:15 | dz0ny | sry |
10:15 | dz0ny | closed* |
10:16 | dz0ny | coffee hasn't kicked in yet |
10:16 | dz0ny | but you can run chomecast clone :) |
10:20 | _Rarity | dz0ny: Cool! |
10:21 | _Rarity | dz0ny: Thanks for the answer. I would be killer if I could display my android screen on my TV |
10:22 | dz0ny | _Rarity: you can do that with allcast |
10:22 | dz0ny | and android as os on cuboxi |
10:23 | dz0ny | https://plus.google.com/u/0/110558071969009568835/posts/eB9NzgP87wK |
10:25 | _Rarity | dz0ny: Wow, thanks a lot. Gonna install android on my cubox-i right away! |
10:28 | dxtr | Yay! Massdrop finally shipped my ergodox |
11:08 | mboeru | hi guys, What would be the right way to set a smaller resolution, like 1280x1024 in the uEnv file? |
11:09 | mboeru | I have a dell E207wfp monitor |
11:09 | mboeru | for testing with the cubox-i |
11:10 | mboeru | I am trying with video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1280x1024M@60 |
11:11 | cbxbiker61 | cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/modes |
11:11 | cbxbiker61 | echo 'S:1920x1080p-60' | sudo tee /sys/class/graphics/fb0/mode |
11:11 | cbxbiker61 | something like that works |
11:15 | mboeru | ok, will try |
11:15 | mboeru | thanks |
13:45 | Bluerise | jnettlet: You should post some pictures of that then! |
13:47 | jnettlet | Bluerise, oh I definitely will. Still sorting out the particulars. I think I will wire the keyboard/touch/audio into an arduino with a BTLE shield. Then I can use the laptop as a BT speaker for my phone with the SOC powered down, and also remote control other BT devices with the keyboard/trackpad. |
13:47 | jnettlet | probably wire up the Fn keys to switch between bluetooth pairings |
13:47 | Bluerise | that sounds interesting... |
13:47 | Bluerise | battery? |
13:48 | jnettlet | something stupid for now. Probably one of the external battery usb battery chargers. |
13:48 | Bluerise | heh |
13:48 | jnettlet | you can get those quite powerful and they do 5v 2amp which is perfect for the HB. It all depends on the display I end up with. |
13:50 | jnettlet | If I can actually get another Pixel Qi screen then I am fine. That is happy with 3.3V lvds which the HB can supply |
13:51 | Bluerise | Pixel Qi? |
13:51 | Bluerise | hmm |
13:51 | Bluerise | Wonder if I can replace the board of that netbook I have |
13:53 | Bluerise | Trying to sleep here at uni, but it's really tough on this chair and table,... |
13:53 | jnettlet | sorry minimum to power the LED for the Pixel Qi is 4.5 Volts, but still below the 5volts of those battery packs |
13:54 | Bluerise | First I gotta write that ipu driver... |
13:54 | Bluerise | well, actually, I gotta complete the move from oabi to eabi first ;) |
13:54 | Bluerise | and then IPU, also more work on Chromebook,... |
