07:18 jnettlet[m]> So after this last trip I decided I finally had to dig into my laptop battery issues. Figure out who is screwing this up.
07:18 jnettlet[m]> design capacity 7570 mAh, last full capacity 3730 mAh
07:19 jnettlet[m]> so is it Dell with a bios issue, or is it the linux kernel?
07:32 jnettlet[m]> and survey says....Dell bios. I had run their battery diagnostics and everything reported the battery in good condition. I just reflashed the latest BIOS and then reset everything to the defaults....reboot and my battery condition is now at fair.
07:33 jnettlet[m]> thanks Dell

15:25 suihkulokki> efi & installer for installing debian to mcbin
15:25 suihkulokki> items still to do: 1) get the kernel to a repo, so nobody needs to install that kernel.deb manually
15:26 suihkulokki> 2) find out why installing the efi boot menu entry fails
15:47 Ke> suihkulokki: are you booting from sdcard?
15:48 Ke> I also noted that EFI variables are not saved persistently, even if you make them persistent
16:32 Ke> suihkulokki: btw. which kernel are you using
16:32 Ke> only kernel I get to boot is marvell linux-4.4
16:38 suihkulokki> Ke: 4.14-rcX with debian config
16:38 Ke> gah, mcbin just hates me =o(
16:38 suihkulokki> Ke: yeah, uefi on sd card (quite brick safe)
16:38 Ke> that's basically what I am using, though without extra drivers
16:39 Ke> suihkulokki: try setting nvram values and see, if they are preserved
16:39 suihkulokki> Ke: I'll poke people how storing efivars is supposed to work
16:40 Ke> suihkulokki: I guess you have only used uefi boot, as where I use booti
16:40 Ke> suihkulokki: there is help in efi shell
16:40 Ke> it was quite obvious
16:40 Ke> suihkulokki: you can also mount the efivars and create/remove files
16:41 Ke> from linux side
16:41 Ke> I believe it's just something like echo yay > /sys/efi/vars/awesome
17:38 Artox> suihkulokki, very nice
17:39 Artox> does that deb havea modified .config from linux-image-arm64?
17:40 Artox> or is it straight from experimental
17:41 Artox> if you have a useable .dsc, and .tar.something, we can publish the deb on https://repo.solid-build.xyz/
19:08 vpeter> jnettlet[m]: Seems https://github.com/SolidRun/lede-project sr branch is again friendly with my compex wifi card. Seems now it is again recognized. On june it was not recognized. Even with pci bus rescan.
